WeGame : China's answer to Steam: Tencent's store for buying, downloading and playing PC games.

In 2017 Tencent replaced its Tencent Games Platform (TGP), which dated to 2013, with the newly named WeGame client.

Through WeGame, players buy and download titles, then tap community feeds, live streams, achievements, cloud saves and self-service refunds in one interface. Chinese localization eases many imported games, and the client also serves as the daily launcher for Tencent's own PC titles.

What games are exclusive to WeGame vs Steam?

WeGame has exclusive access to many Tencent-published Chinese games like League of Legends (CN), Dungeon Fighter Online (CN), and CrossFire. Many Western AAA titles are also sold here with Chinese pricing, typically 30-50% cheaper.

Can I use WeGame from outside China?

WeGame is region-locked to mainland China. You need a Chinese ID, phone number, and WeChat Pay. The platform is entirely in Chinese with no English interface. VPN access may be blocked.
