Huolala is the mainland China arm of Lalamove, the freight-hailing app founded in Hong Kong in 2013. Its fleet spans vans up to larger trucks that move cargo across cities.

To book, a user picks a vehicle type and destination, then the platform matches the job to a driver nearby. Common trips are same-city freight, apartment moves and shop deliveries, priced per order rather than by contract.

Outside mainland China, the same service runs as Lalamove.

Can I use Huolala for moving furniture as a foreigner?

Registration needs a Chinese phone number. The app dispatchers communicate in Chinese, creating language barriers for foreigners. Payment requires Alipay or WeChat Pay with Chinese bank cards. While possible to use with help from a Chinese-speaking friend, independent use by non-Chinese speakers is very difficult.

Does Huolala track my location and moving details?

Yes, Huolala collects real-time location during pickup/delivery, home addresses, item details, and payment data. This is stored on Chinese servers under China's data regulations. US services like U-Haul collect rental data but not real-time GPS tracking throughout the moving process. Huolala's data could reveal home contents and address patterns to authorities.
