Baidu Wenku (百度文库) : Document-sharing library where students and professionals read, download and publish files.

Launched in November 2009, Baidu Wenku is Baidu's document-sharing site where users upload files, mostly in Chinese — a role often likened to Scribd.

Search spans academic papers, resumes, business templates, presentations and legal contracts. Word, PDF and PowerPoint files can be previewed online or downloaded.

Students and office workers rely on it. Many downloads are free; others cost points earned by uploading your own documents. AI tools also generate and edit text.

How reliable are documents on Baidu Wenku?

Content quality varies dramatically since any user can upload. Documents are not peer-reviewed. Copyright infringement is rampant, with many copyrighted textbooks and papers available illegally. Users should verify information from original sources before citing.

Is Baidu Wenku free to use?

Baidu Wenku operates on a freemium model. Many documents can be viewed online for free but require payment or membership to download. Users can earn download credits by uploading documents. A Baidu account with phone verification is needed to access full features.

Is Baidu Wenku accessible from the US?

Baidu Wenku (wenku.baidu.com) is accessible from the US without a VPN. It is a document-sharing platform similar to Scribd, hosting millions of user-uploaded documents including academic papers, templates, presentations, and exam materials. Interface is Chinese-only.
